Postpartum Breath & Flow

***This Series meets once weekly for 4 consecutive Thursdays***

This series is designed for women that may have had a baby in the last four to twelves weeks. This series starts with breath work and evolves into full body functional motor patterns. You will establish a solid core foundation, wake up your posterior chain, and enhance your posture through safe, effective movements that transfer to any activity in our daily lives. Our top three words to describe this class would be BREATH, BODY, and FLOW. The class will be 75 minutes in length. You will be also be given movement homework to practice. So, come ready to move and connect with the BIRTHFIT Tribe. Non-mobile babies are welcome.

Prenatal Series

***This series meets October 20th and 21st***

This is a weekend intensive birth education series that meets 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. We cover birth education and preparation as well as functional movement and mobility. You will discover your own birth desires, make a postpartum super mom plan, and move naturally. You and your partner will role play various labor and delivery scenarios, learn movement and comfort techniques that work for you as a pair, and integrate your favorite relaxation tools into your pregnancy training. This class is simple, efficient, and to the point. This class is definitely for the modern woman (and partner) that does not have time to mess around.

Coaches Seminar

The BIRTHFIT Coach Seminar is a strength and conditioning seminar for those who train (or might one day train) pregnant and postpartum athletes. This is for coaches, personal trainers, and anyone who works with women in the fitness world. This seminar is unlike anything else out there! 

OBJECTIVES OF THE BIRTHFIT COACH SEMINAR:

  1. Learn basic anatomy and physiology associated with a woman’s body, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
  2. Understand the BIRTHFIT definition of “core” and discover the origins of functional movement and breath; integrate these principles into both prenatal and postpartum training.
  3. Explore the idea of fitness, strength, and conditioning specifically in the context of labor and delivery; understand the need to move with intention and train for birth. The intention is quality over quantity; it is not what you do, but how you do it.
  4. Understand beneficial movements and movements to avoid for specific trimesters.
  5. Facilitate a woman’s respect for her body and make space for her instincts—this trust starts in the gym. AWARENESS.
  6. Gain a respect for the uniqueness of both the birth and postpartum healing processes.
  7. Each woman has her own healing process and timeline.
